Ecology and presence in Slovenia
The species is distributed in Scandinavia, central and southern Europe, the European part of Russia, Siberia and North Africa in the spruce range. It is not common in Slovenia, but individual sites are found in most of central Slovenia (Figure 61). Hosts include Picea abies, P. obovata , P. jezoensis, and very rarely also Abies alba. In Slovenia, the species has been found only on P. abies, and in Koroška also in traps. It develops one generation per year. Adult length is 1.7-2.5 mm (Figure 60).
